With much excitement Joanna Wilkinson Photography took part in our first wedding fair on 31st October 2010. The venue was the stunningly beautiful, and recently refurbished Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. As this was our first wedding fair we’d decided back in September to do some research and attend another wedding fair to see exactly what people put on their stands and how we could make ourselves stand out from the crowd. To us the less is more approach is what we felt would work best. We’d looked at so many other photographers who try to cram hundreds of photos on to their tables, either in frames, albums, on flyers or anything they could print on with the result that there was just too much to take in and often put people off. So we decided to use 3 strong images and frame them beautifully in large golden ornate frames. We also printed up via our favourite printers Moo.com postcards that customers could take away with them. We used twenty of our personal favourite images and I’m thrilled with how they turned out. I may be bias but I think the simple elegance of our exhibit made us stand out from the crowd.
We were thrilled to have lots of visitors to our stand and to meet such lovely brides and grooms. If you were at the wedding fair and would like to speak to us again we’d love to hear from you, so please send us an email at info@joannawilkinson.com
